Iron blue pigment is the raw material in the coating production process, which is divided into two types: inorganic and inorganic. Chemically reacted synthetic inorganic pigments include various metal oxides, chromates, carbonates, salts and sulfides, such as aluminum powder, copper powder, carbon black, zinc white and titanium dioxide, all of which belong to the category of inorganic pigments. Inorganic pigments are widely used in coatings, plastics, synthetic fibers, rubber, building materials, stationery, painting pigments, inks, paper and other fields. It is also the largest and most widely used pigment in the coatings industry.

Pigment market and coatings industry are inseparable

The data shows that in June 2012, there were 342 enterprises in the pigment manufacturing industry, the total industrial output value of the month was 5935.407 million yuan, the industrial sales output value was 5834.111 million yuan, and the export delivery value was 590.861 million yuan. In July of the same year, the total industrial output value was 5,648,328,000 yuan, the industrial sales output value was 5,269,690,000 yuan, and the export delivery value was 622,974,000 yuan.

With the recovery of the economy, domestic and foreign industries such as building materials, coatings and paints, plastics, inks and other industries have experienced rapid growth, and the demand for inorganic pigments has also increased rapidly. It is understood that in 2011, the total production of coatings in my country was 9.666 million tons, an increase of 22.8% year-on-year; the output of pigments in my country in 2012 was about 2,247,640 tons, an increase of 22% year-on-year; in 2012, the output of coatings reached 1,079.5 tons, an increase of 16.44% year-on-year. Based on this calculation, the annual output of pigments in 2013 is expected to exceed 2.6 million tons. It can be said that the development of pigments has been inseparable from the coatings industry.

The prospect of inorganic pigment industry is promising

In recent years, orders from pigment manufacturers have increased significantly, product prices fluctuated frequently, and local supply was tight. As a major producer of inorganic pigments, China ranks among the top in the world in terms of the annual production of titanium, iron oxide, lead-chromium and other pigments. It is understood that during 2012, the volume and price of inorganic pigments showed a trend of rising, and the same was true in 2013.

Inorganic pigments, as an important part of inorganic pigments, have a variety of excellent properties. In recent years, the annual growth rate has been over 50%, showing a situation of booming production and sales and in short supply. During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, great progress will be made in the research and development, production and application of inorganic pigments, and inorganic pigments that can replace traditional lead and cadmium pigments will become popular. Inorganic pigments are also being developed in China, bringing hope to downstream industrial applications and promising industrial prospects.
